'He should be playing': Paul Scholes claims Klopp's 'fallen out' with Liverpool 32-year-old

Paul Scholes has suggested that Jurgen Klopp and Jordan Henderson have had a ‘falling out’ at Liverpool following their 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Manchester United legend stated ‘something is not quite right there’, as Henderson was a second-half substitute during Liverpool’s defeat at the City Ground, as he told MatchDay Extra on Premier League Productions (22/10/22 at 8:35 pm).

It has been a season to forget so far for the Reds and one man that has suffered out on the pitch has been the one with the armband.

There has been a decline and drop off from Liverpool’s 32-year-old midfielder, who has only completed 90 minutes on three occasions in all competitions this term.

Henderson has had to deal with a hamstring injury in between, adding further problems to his and the club’s troublesome campaign.

After being left on the bench against Nottingham Forest, Scholes thinks that Henderson should be starting, as he questioned the current relationship between the manager and the skipper.

“He has Jordan Henderson on the bench, he should be playing,” said Scholes. “He is the leader of the team. He’s the captain and the one, the Casemiro type of role, and he gets everyone ticking around.

“He seems to have fallen out with him or carrying an injury. There is something not quite right there.”

Any time Liverpool seem to have turned a corner or shone a light on their season, another mountain appears.

All of this seems very worrying for the club because, forget about the Premier League title, they are five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, at the moment.

This was supposed to be the week they well and truly turn it around, after being Manchester City last week, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

But all they can do now is pick themselves up, and head towards the next destination and that’s a trip to Holland to take on Dutch champions Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
