Report: Klopp now set to start 'unbelievable' teenager at Forest as he rings the changes for Liverpool
Liverpool face Nottingham Forest today in one of the big fixtures of the Premier League weekend and there is some Liverpool team news to share.
The Reds are looking to make it three wins in a row against Forest, who are struggling for any sort of form themselves.
A 1-0 win against West Ham in midweek came courtesy of a Darwin Nunez goal at Anfield. However, Nunez might well be missing from the XI today, with Klopp admitting yesterday his big money signing had been having treatment on a tight hamstring.
However, Klopp is expected to make other changes even if the Nunez one is enforced. According to The Mirror, the Liverpool boss is likely to turn to James Milner, Andy Robertson, and ‘unbelievable‘ young midfielder Harvey Elliott. Those three are likely to replace the likes of Tsimikas, Carvalho, and potentially, Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.
Liverpool will be keen to avoid any more injuries after a disruptive start to their Premier League season. Their recent good form has been led by the solid defensive trio of Alisson, Van Dijk and Gomez. Klopp is expected to stick with that trifecta as he looks to continue building momentum.
TBR’s View: Liverpool To Keep Winning At Forest
This is the ideal game for Liverpool really if they want to continue their recent upturn in form. Forest cannot buy a win and defensively have been all over the place for most of the season.
For Klopp, he’ll be looking to get more goals from his side and the inclusion of Nunez could well have a big bearing on that goal output. Liverpool will be hoping he is passed fit to play some part at least.
Elliott and Milner will bring fresh legs, while the return of Robertson at left-back is a massive boost as well. Liverpool win this today, and win comfortably.
