Liverpool renewed interest in €20m-rated African attacker
Liverpool are looking to add Stade Rennais forward Kamaldeen Sulemana. Ghana international currently plays for the French club, where he enjoyed some success in front of goal when given the opportunity to impress. Sulemana scored four goals in ten league matches for the club and in the last two years was called up to the Ghana squad.
Now, Kamaldeen is attracting interest from the Merseyside giants. The report claims that the 20-year-old forward would cost the Reds in the region of €25m. The Ghanaian forward only arrived at Stade Rennais in the summer of 2021, joining Les Rennais from Danish club Nordsjaelland.
The Ghanaian compared to former Liverpool footballer Sadio Mane, so if he could have a similar impact to Mane if he was to join the club, it would be a shrewd bit of business. The Reds have had a difficult start to the campaign, so additions are likely to be seen in the near future.
However, an attacker doesn’t appear to be their main issue at the moment, with a new midfielder surely their priority over the next two transfer windows. The ex-Nordsjaelland forward’s attribute fits Jurgen Klopp’s system because of his direct play and speed.
However, when he is at his best, Sulemana is unstoppable. Kamaldeen was recently named as one of the most successful dribblers in the Ligue 1. The African winger started his career in Ghana with the famous Right to Dream Academy before moving to Denmark in 2019, where he signed his first professional deal with Nordsjaelland.
